What is Dốc Lết Beach?
Dốc Lết is a peaceful beach area located approximately 45–50 km north of Nha Trang, characterized by a quieter atmosphere compared to central Nha Trang. It features soft white sand and calm turquoise shallow waters, allowing safe swimming at distance. The name Dốc Lết derives from "lết," meaning "to drag," referring to the high sand dunes that required visitors to drag their feet.

Motorbike Rental
Motorbike travel is the most common choice among travelers, with rental rates around 150,000 VND (approximately $6) in Nha Trang. From central Nha Trang, head via Trần Phú Street toward Diêm Bà Tower, then follow National Highway 1A toward Ninh Hòa town. The total journey takes approximately 1 hour.
Taxi
Taxi from Nha Trang to Dốc Lết takes about 1 hour, with fares of 400,000–500,000 VND (approximately $17–21) depending on vehicle size.
Bus
Air-conditioned bus No. 3 (Nha Trang–Ninh Hòa–Dốc Lết) operates every hour from 06:30 to 17:30, with a one-way fare of 24,000 VND. One-way travel time is 1.5 hours. After getting off on Provincial Highway 10, you can walk approximately 1.5 km or take a motorbike taxi.

Nem nướng: Nem nướng is a famous specialty of Ninh Hòa, made from select pork leg and pork skin ground through a meat grinder, marinated in spices, and charcoal-grilled to achieve a fragrant yet non-dry texture.
Cơm tấm phở: Fish rice porridge from Hòn Khối–Ninh Diêm areas features chewier noodles than rice vermicelli, with broth made from slow-cooked bones for a deep flavor at around 30,000 VND.

The optimal visiting period is March–September, with clear sunny weather. Central Vietnam's sun is intense, so sunscreen is essential. From October–December, northeast monsoon influences can bring cool weather, making swimming less suitable.
