These three numbers are standard throughout Vietnam and can be called with any SIM card. However, since Korean or English support may be limited, it's most practical to ask a local (hotel staff, restaurant employee, etc.) to help you make the report together.

Consular Assistance — Embassy and Consulate

In situations requiring protection of Korean citizens—such as passport loss, crime victimization, or accidents—you can receive consular assistance. Since contact information and emergency numbers may change, rather than relying on this article, check the official website of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam or consulates and save the latest numbers before departure. You can also find information about the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Consular Call Center (24/7) through the same channels.

Situation-Specific Response Procedures

If You've Been Robbed or Pickpocketed

  1. Your safety comes first. Do not chase the perpetrator.
  2. If your card is stolen, immediately block it through your card company's app or call center.
  3. Report to police (113) and request a theft confirmation document, which you'll need for travel insurance claims.
  4. If your phone is stolen, immediately use Find My Device or remote lock features.

If You've Lost Your Passport

  1. Obtain a loss confirmation document from a nearby police station.
  2. Contact the embassy or consulate for guidance on passport reissue or emergency passport procedures.
  3. Keeping copies of your passport and photos stored in the cloud will significantly speed up the process.

If You're Injured or Ill

For minor ailments, visit a pharmacy; for serious injuries or trauma, go to a hospital or call 115 for an ambulance.   1. Check for injuries first; call 115 for an ambulance if needed.
  2. Take photos of the scene and record the other vehicle's information.
  3. If a dispute arises, don't rush to settle at the scene—request police (113) to attend and mediate.
